This is fine for what it is and I do remember I used to watch a lot of sprite movies when I was younger so I guess it has nostalgic value, but I don't quite care for sprite movies anymore, and not to mention the fact that although I understand you made this as a tribute to Mario's Castle Calamity it's basically the same joke and concept just done with a star. And not to mention the fact that you included Shoop da Whoop firing a laser, I know this is paying tribute to something from 2009 and all so I guess it's fitting but come on man. I probably would have thought this was cool when I was 8.

Nice work, I like your animation quite a bit. It's very fun and dynamic. Your visuals in general are quite nice. The backgrounds were also pretty good. Good job man.

I was sent this cartoon by a friend, and he said it was bad. I generally don't mind New Wave cartoons, and I wanted to like this, I really did. But there were few to no redeemable factors. This was clearly only a minor 40 second cartoon so I can not dislike it too much, but the thing is, with these kinds of minor cartoons there usually tends to be a joke. There really is no joke here. Now I'm not saying jokes with murder aren't funny, I like me a good joke with it, but the thing is, they usually have a joke besides the fact that a character gets murdered. Here it's just "oh this guy just enjoys his day oop he's dead lol" There really is no joke or substance to that, it just comes across as really unfunny and forced. But if you find it funny that's fine, humor's not really objective, but I personally do not find murder in and of itself very funny. It just feels like a half assed attempt at edginess that just strikes me as very forced. Now that said I do think the animation and artwork was solid, and you guys are clearly competent content creators so I don't have any sort of bitter hatred for this or anything but I did not really like it.

The writing and comedy really was not my thing at all, but I really enjoyed the visuals a lot. The colors were very pretty and the environments looked sick, and the overall style is appealing. I like the sort of no-outline and all colors thing you're doing on the characters, I don't really see those kinds of styles that often and it looked nice.

Yeah I don't think of myself as a very strong writer, but I can agree especially that I struggled a lot with writing this one in particular.
